Who we are and how to reach us

The Liberty Truth Outlet is the independent author bookstore at LibertyTruth.org. It sells printed books and digital PDF editions. The seller responsible for your information is James Trent Goodbaudy, doing business as Liberty Truth Outlet.

Guest checkout and email choices

Guest checkout is welcome. You do not need to join a mailing list to buy a book. Buying a book or accepting purchase terms does not subscribe you to promotional emails.

Promotional emails require a separate affirmative choice. Where subscription confirmation is enabled, follow the confirmation email to complete signup. You can unsubscribe through a promotional email or contact us. Unsubscribing does not stop receipts, download instructions, shipping updates, or replies needed to support your order. We do not use customer addresses for unsolicited postal marketing.

Information we collect

When you order, we collect the contact, billing, delivery, and order details needed for your purchase, such as your name, email, address, selected title and format, quantity, price, and payment status. We also keep messages you send us. If you choose an account, we maintain account information.

Our website and service providers may record IP addresses, browser or device information, pages viewed, referral information, and technical or security events. WooCommerce may record download access events associated with an order, including file identifiers, timestamps, and IP addresses. These records do not show whether you read or enjoyed a book.

If you post a review or comment, the information you choose to publish may be visible to other visitors. Avoid including private information in public posts.

How information is used

We use information to process payments, deliver books and downloads, provide support, maintain accounts, understand website use, improve services, detect fraud, resolve disputes, and meet accounting and legal obligations. Marketing uses your separate subscription choice. We limit information collection to what these purposes reasonably require.

Payments and service providers

WooCommerce manages store and order information. Stripe processes payments and may receive contact, billing, transaction, device, and fraud-prevention information. Available payment choices may include cards, Cash App Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link; the selected service also processes information under its own terms and privacy notice. Full payment credentials are processed through the payment provider rather than stored as ordinary order details. Do not email us card numbers, security codes, or passwords.

Information needed for production and delivery may be shared with Amazon KDP and shipping carriers. Whether a customer delivery address is supplied to Amazon depends on whether that order is sent directly or first delivered to us. Hosting, email delivery, newsletter, security, and website support providers also process information needed for their services. MailPoet supports newsletter subscriptions.

We may share relevant transaction and fulfillment records with payment processors, payment networks, banks, professional advisers, or authorities when reasonably needed for a dispute, fraud investigation, or legal obligation. We do not sell or rent customer mailing lists. [VERIFY OTHER DATA SALES, TARGETED ADVERTISING, AND THIRD-PARTY TRACKING BEFORE PUBLICATION.]

Cookies, analytics, and outside content

The site uses technologies needed for cart, checkout, account, payment, and security functions. WP Visitor Statistics is installed to analyze site traffic. Third-party payment tools and any embedded content may also collect information when used or loaded. The Cookie Policy must identify the technologies actually used and the choices available.

[BEFORE PUBLICATION: complete an anonymous-browser cookie and script audit; document providers, purposes, durations, opt-in controls where required, and responses to Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Do not claim that optional tracking is blocked until tested.]

How long information is kept

Guest checkout does not mean transaction records are immediately deleted. Order, payment, fulfillment, consent, support, and dispute records may be needed for accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving claims. Payment providers may retain their own records under their policies and legal duties.

Our retention approach is to keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, then delete or anonymize it, subject to legal holds. Limited suppression information may be kept to honor an unsubscribe request. Backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle.

[BEFORE PUBLICATION: approve and implement a category-specific schedule. WooCommerce retention fields currently have no automatic deletion or anonymization deadlines. Do not represent the proposed retention approach as an automated process already in place.]

Your choices and privacy requests

You can contact us without an account to ask about access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, or applicable opt-out rights. We may need proportionate verification before releasing or changing information. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, or disputes; we will explain applicable limitations.

Rights and response deadlines depend on the laws that apply to you and the business. Where applicable, these can include information about recipients, authorized-agent requests, and an appeal of a denied request. To request review of a response, reply to our privacy contact and explain your concern. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Security, children, and changes

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed, but no website can guarantee complete security. The store is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information without appropriate authorization.

Providers may process information in the United States or other countries. [Confirm provider locations and any required international-transfer safeguards before offering services where additional requirements apply.]

When this policy changes, we will update its effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. Effective date: [SET ON PUBLICATION].
